Teaching about quilts


I miss not having Art in school. When I was young it was my favorite subject. But maybe it can still be snuck into a lesson or two. Math is definitely a part of quilting. Crayola has a neat lesson on geometry and symmetry "here".

2. They call it a blanket but super cute story. Little girl loves her mom made baby quilt to death and then her brother accidentally ruins it. Mom digs out the baby quilt she had that grandma made her and that’s the new special quilt to drag around.
