Science & Social Studies

I use science composition notebooks. If we get done with procedures and actually get to start with science- then I have a science cover page to color and an insert for the students. As a class we brainstorm what a scientist is and end with- everyone can be a scientist by observation and note taking etc.

For Social Studies

Holidays (Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day), being a good citizen, what makes you a good citizen, first presidents of the US, state symbols, monuments for social studies and for science natural disasters, chemical/sound energy, moon phases, plant/animal needs/ characteristics- stuff like that! (At least in my school's curriculum) It’s very simple given that there’s not much time for it, but they love it because it’s a break from ELAR and math. 💡
