Plant needs and parts (2.9A)

This Aero garden has been really handy in my second-grade classroom. The student enjoyed watching these flowers grow and amazed that it’s not growing in soil. My monthly helper gets to water it and then gets to show the other students the roots. My students are really concerned that the flowers are outgrowing the Aero garden and tell me that I need to plant them in soil outside. Which I plan on doing really soon.

Our next upcoming unit with be on lifecycles and the caterpillars already came in, so we will start that this week too. I just love springtime!

I just hope that these little caterpillars really do turn into butterflies and not die on me. Wish us luck!
