My future Kindergarten classroom!
Hello new room! looking around I saw a lot of usable items and quickly realized that I wouldn't have room for all my items stored in the garage.
First thing I did is look through all the furniture and arranged the room into possible centers. I played around with some ideas in order to see possibilities. Attached are some pictures of ideas that I came up with.
I moved the filing cabinet across the room and placed it next to the big blue cabinet.
Stacked all the teacher stuff on the round table to go through later.
Set up three table groups, possibly 6 children to each table.
Placed the couch in the library area and then I oplan on setting up a listening center to the right of it.
Placed a rectangular table and four chairs in the writing center. It will also count as a table group when not used in centers.
The small desk will hold my overhead projector and blocks are right next to it. Maybe I‘ll have a Block center?
I placed all the empty containers under the board for later use. I think that I might want to place our classroom mailbox under the board?
The round table will be used with guided and shared reading.
I think that this layout may work. I really don’t want a cluttered room.
Day 2
Decided to tackle the filing cabinet and papers today.
Found some worksheets that I can use on the first day of school.
