What is a secret student?
What does a secret student mean?
It‘s one of my favorite classroom behavior management strategies. The teacher randomly picks a student per day „Secret Student „ - which involves monitoring that student throughout the day, in relation to their attitudes and choices in and around the classroom.
How to use: Throughout the day if you notice the secret student making good choices you state something like; „Oh wow I love how my secret student is …. „ and at the end of the day reveal a prize or allow him/ her to get something from the treasure box. If the student did not have a good day then state; „Sadly, my secret student did not make good choices today- maybe he / she will do better another day?“
